By public education and collaborative civic activism, 350 Pittsburgh will:
- Promote understanding of the devastating impact of climate change on the urban and rural communities in our region and elsewhere.
- Demand that the region’s decision makers take all possible steps to help diminish climate disruption by ending our reliance on fossil fuels and investing in good jobs in a renewable energy economy.
- Encourage people in our city and region to become actively involved in the urgent struggle to reverse catastrophic climate change.
Allegheny Independent Media is a non-fluff website covering social issues in the Allegheny Region of Pennsylvania, from Pittsburgh to Central PA. They conduct statistical analyses, interviews and cover relevant events for the area.
Provides support to all activities associated with the America250 celebrations in Cambria County.
The Breathe Project is a clearinghouse for information on air quality in Pittsburgh, Southwestern Pennsylvania and beyond. They use the best available science and technology to better understand the quality of the air we breathe and provide opportunities for citizens to engage and take action.
The Cancer and Environmental Networks of Southwestern Pennsylvania supports the activities of a network of health care professionals, researchers, cancer-impacted people, environmental leaders, community-based organizations and others to raise awareness about how pollution contributes to the high rates of cancer and catalyze action to reduce cancer risk. Their vision is a future where people in Southwestern Pennsylvania are not exposed to toxic chemicals that contribute to cancer.

Empowering communities to work together to provide protection from traumatic experiences and foster healing. Their mission is to recognize, respond to, and prevent trauma, promote healing, and provide positive support by creating individual and community-wide awareness and collaboration. The coalition has been an active tri-county trauma informed coalition since September 2023 and covers Bedford, Cambria, and Somerset counties. The coalition has six action teams: Criminal Justice; Data and Evaluation; Marketing and Outreach; Physical and Behavioral Health; Training and Education, and Youth. Each action team has established goals and initiatives focused around empowering our community to provide protection from traumatic experiences and foster healing.
The ISDA Joseph Johns Lodge 214 Heritage Fund is dedicated to preserving and celebrating Italian traditions in the Greater Johnstown area, through community events, cultural programs, and educational initiatives. The fund aims to honor Italian heritage, share the richness of Italian culture, and inspire pride in their shared history for generations to come.

The Johnstown Running Club serves as a resource for local runners and works to promote running and races in the Greater Johnstown region. Each year, they hold the On the Dam Trail race, a 50K (34 mile) solo or relay race around the Quemahoning Reservoir. Proceeds raised support Camp Harmony, a Christ-centered camp and retreat center whose mission is to provide adventure and fun with an eternal purpose.
The Johnstown Walk of Hope is a nonprofit organization started in 2016, with the goal of raising money for patients with a cancer diagnosis. The money raised goes to support patient expenses which include medical testing, treatment, travel, medications, and some household expenses. All donations support patients who receive care locally regardless of where they live in Cambria, Somerset, and Bedford Counties.
The purpose of Johnstown Women of Influence is to uplift the Johnstown community and combat social loneliness through year-round social events. They aim to foster connection, belonging, and personal growth in an inclusive space where everyone can build meaningful relationships and thrive.
Kai’s Legacy provides support for all efforts and activities, including the annual 3×3 basketball tournament, which funds the Kai Paul Hrabovsky Memorial Scholarship Fund.
K9 Titan’s Watch Foundation is named in memory of Officer Titan, a beloved and revered member of the Cambria County law enforcement community, who died in the line of duty. Officer Titan exemplified the qualities of loyalty, courage, and unwavering dedication throughout his distinguished career, and it is in his memory that we pledge to continue supporting the vital work of K9 units in our community. K9 Titan’s Watch Foundation extends its benefits to all of Cambria County. This allows us to provide vital assistance to K9 units operating across the region, ensuring that every brave and dedicated K9 officer receives the support they need and deserve.
A community-based initiative that provides programming and education for the Greater Johnstown region’s youth so that they are empowered to become productive members of the community.
Mark Kresak was a lifelong hockey fan and staunch supporter of youth hockey in Johnstown. After his unexpected death, his family death the Mark Kresak Memorial Fund in his memory to help make hockey more affordable for local kids.

The Ohio River Valley Institute is an independent, nonprofit research and communications center—a think tank—founded in 2020. They equip the region’s residents and decision-makers with the policy research and practical tools they need to advance long-term solutions to some of Appalachia’s most significant challenges. Their work includes in-depth research, commentary, and analysis, delivered online, by email, and in-person to policy champions, emerging leaders, and a range of community partners. The Ohio River Valley Institute’s mission is to support communities in the region working to advance a more prosperous, sustainable, and equitable Appalachia. The Institute produces data-driven research and proposes policies to improve the economic performance and standards of living for the greater Ohio River Valley, with a focus on shared prosperity, clean energy, and equitable democracy.
The Ohio River Valley Participatory Fund supports groups serving northern Appalachian communities that have been adversely impacted by the fossil fuel industry.
Operation BeYoutiful provides wigs to young ladies and women who have lost their hair due to chemotherapy or other medically related hair loss conditions.

Reimagine Appalachia is a coalition of labor, policy experts and community leaders who are making sure that no matter what we look like or the size of our bank account, everyone who lives here can have a good job, is cared for, and can put down roots for the future.
To support the costs associated with staging, filming, and distributing a play about the Rosedale Banishment. The Rosedale Banishment was a racial expulsion that erased the presence and voices of Black and Mexican residents from the city of Johnstown in 1923 — a forgotten chapter of American history that deserves to be remembered, reckoned with, and taught. Banished: The Story of a Great Injustice is a powerful theatrical work that brings this story to life through the voices of the people who lived it. Your donation will support the staging and recording of this production, allowing it to reach far beyond the theatre. The recorded performance will be used in local school districts as a teaching tool to educate students about systemic racism, civil rights, and the power of resistance.
Rumble through the Valley is a grass roots effort from local businesses to bring a motorcycle rally back to Johnstown.
Following the death of Brooke Leppert in July 2024, his family and friends wanted to do something in an effort to keep his memory alive. This was the start of the Secret Santa Society, a nonprofit organization that has a mission of maintaining the spirit of Christmas all year long by spreading love and joy in the community.

The Stork Fund provides financial support for infertility treatments or adoption fees for individuals in the Greater Johnstown region who have experienced fertility issues or miscarriage.
True Transition is an organization with two primary missions: 1) Secure a seat at the table for energy workers. True Transition speaks directly to oil and gas workers throughout the United States about their working conditions, their training and compensation needs, and their hopes for tomorrow’s industries. They deserve a seat at the table, because they built the table. 2) Create the jobs and conditions of the energy transition. True Transitions is a public policy collaborative identifying where oil and gas workers’ skills are needed most and writing the policies to make those jobs and laws a reality. They are working to make sure that workers can seamlessly transition into emerging fields with training and full interim support. And finally, we are working to make sure that future energy jobs pay well and support American families and communities.
